| CHARYN finished only fifth in the Mile Championship in Kyoto, Japan. He was beaten about 3.5 lengths. He dwelt at the start and as there were seventeen runners he had a lot to make up. He steadily made his way through and around and was gaining all the way finishing one of the fastest but he had too much to do.
