There was a very telling article in today's Racing Post about the continuing fall in race course attendance. I find it quite shocking that the average attendance in the first half of the year was as low as 3,330. and that was actually an increase on 2023. How can it be remotely sustainable to operate a track with such low numbers attending. Well we know really its because somehow the tracks high jacked the money that is rightfully the owners money for TV rights. Without that money they could not survive, in fact if they can't attract bigger crowds they don't deserve to survive. Apparently June was a bit better when overall attendance rose by 3.6% even though there were fewer meeting. COULD THAT POSSIBLY BE A CLUE! Reply
