| It appears to me that Racing in the USA is thriving in the East and dismally failing to survive in the West. This week we will see the final race at the Golden Gate Fields in San Francisco, before it closes forever. This is the fourth Californian Racetrack to be closed down since 2008. Bay Meadows went after 74 years racing and Hollywood Park after 75 years racing. Then Los Angeles County Fair at Fairplex Park closed down after 92 years racing. It is very sad and a seriously worrying situation.
