At Leopardstown today there were EIGHT races. SEVEN of the races were for two-year-olds....yes SEVEN 2yo races today at the one track. Interestingly - there were a total of 78 2yo's declared to run in those 2yo races and of those 78 there were 26 trained by the O'Brien trio of Aidan, Joseph and Donnacha.
Two of the races were Gr 3 - won by Aidan and Joseph. The O'Brien trio had between them FIVE of the SEVEN entries in one Gr 3 and in the other Gr 3 they had FOUR of the EIGHT runners. I am not knocking the O'Brien's - they are top rated but I am just wondering where Irish racing is going.
