| I just cannot see a commercial reason to breed a mare to a cheap sire the way the business is going these days. For instance - at Ripon today there was a 5 runner race (value £4710 to the winner) and the five runners were by MASTERCRAFTSMAN, KINGMAN, CAMELOT, LOUP DE VEGA and FRANKEL. Think about what those runners cost to be produced and trained. The small man/woman in this business is getting smaller.
