EQUINOX was just stunning - to me anyway - when winning the Dubai Sheema Classic (Gr 1) in Meydan today. He was up against other Champions and he must presently be the Best Racehorse in the World! I have looked up his pedigree. He has a 5x5x4 LYPHARD. His sire KITASAN BLACK has the 4x4 LYPHARD -son and daughter - whereas his dam is by KING HALO by DANCING BRAVE by LYPHARD. EQUINOX is also 4x4 HALO. Not only is he the first Gr 1 winner for his sire but he is the first Black-Type winner for him too! EQUINOX is a 4yo and he has only run 6 times. Winning 4 races [3x Gr 1 and 1x Gr2]and second twice - his second placings were in the Japanese 2000Gns and Japanese Derby. Today he led all the way - looked effortless winning easily and slowing down before the line yet, he broke the record by a second.
