Day two is nearly over and I just cannot make up my mind if the sale is great, good or worrying. Take NO NAY NEVER for instance. As I write he has had 20 sold. The top lot €2,600,000 was sensational - a beautiful mature filly who walked like a proud champion! Now the sire fee is €125k. The twenty sold so far have averaged €273,100 with a medium €120k. Now take that one €2.6million sale out of that and it's not great is it? Eleven of the 20 sold for less than the nomination. Yet this is the successful sire - and he is on the racecourse - everyone is talking about. What message from these figures do we get?
