An article in Irish Field had this paragraph from Peter Savill's proposals:
"But the bigger problem is the ownership of horses rated 80-85 getting offers up to £250,000 to go off to America to win a maiden worth $100,000, so the reduction in the number of horses at the top end is quite dramatic".
IMO what a load of b######s.
As I see it, the more horses in-training that get sold the better as those lucky owners go back to the sales and reinvest. Racing isn't just about the Owners.... the Owners would have nothing to race if it weren't for the Breeders.
Other opinions on this please.
