I see Inglis Sales Company are to sell Northern Hemisphere Yearlings at their Easter Sales from 2012. I presume that means those yearlings will be sold when approx. 12 months old. Interesting. The advantage will be a big saving to Australian buyers of infoal mares in Europe who can be shipped immediately to Australia to foal there to N.H. time. The disadvantage will be switched to buyers of those yearlings who will have to bare costs of shipping to N.Hemisphere. If this works ofcourse it would open up the practicality of breeding S.H. resident mares to N.H. time.
