2 foals which was not much of a sample and they were very different.

Lot 1070 Lightning Spear ex Riccoche.
Late April foal and looked it. Smallish and immature. Very narrow across the front and subsequently very close (base narrow) in front at the walk. Slightly long in the pastern but good angle and matched shoulder well. Very open at the knee, Nice hind leg and generally well proportioned. Good walker, feet OK maybe slight turn out. My general impression was in spite of all the obvious faults it was an honest foal that would probably mature well and grow into a reasonable yearling.

Lot 1141 Lightning Spear ex Starlit Sky
Late February foal well grown , tall even a bit leggy. Good bone maybe also a little bit narrow across the front but not as pronounced as the previous foal. Good walk. Pasterns OK again nice hind leg and well quartered. General impression nice enough foal and from a good family (Royal Studs) looks as though she may take a bit of time but plenty to like. As she is out of a Galileo mare you might expect her to be a rangy sort of filly and she is.
