Newgate Farm's exciting young foundation sire Foxwedge (Fastnet Rock-Forest Native, by Forest Wildcat ) has been given a rest from shuttle duties and will not make the trip to Whitsbury Manor Stud in the UK this year, reports bloodstock.racingpost.com. However, the Gr1-winning son of Fastnet Rock is expected to resume northern hemisphere shuttle duties in 2017. "We've decided to give him a break, as he's done six seasons in three years," explained Whitsbury Manor Stud director Ed Harper. "We're hoping his first two-year-olds go well this year and then we can bring him back a fresh horse for next year. We have a couple of years left on the lease and we certainly intend on having him for the next couple of seasons." Reply
