There was a Handicap SteepleChase today at Navan (Grade 3) and there were 21 runners. 14 of the 21 runners were trained by Gordon Elliott. Is that a record I wonder? Incidentally Elliott trained the winner, third, fourth and fifth. Ten of his runners were owned by Gigginstown House Stud. Is that another record? On the eight race card today Elliott had a total of 33 runners - but he ONLY won four of the races!
