Subject: BLACK CAVIAR euthanized at 18.   Posted: Wed Dec 31, 1969 11:33 pm
BLACK CAVIAR - winner of all her 25 starts (of which 15 were Gr 1) was euthanized after giving birth to a colt foal by SNITZEL. She was suffering from incurable laminitis.

GALILEO keeps bringing up the winners. At Royal Ascot yesterday in the 14fur Queen's Vase Gr 2 - there were 12 declared. Five by GALILEO. The race was for 3yo's. One didn't run but of the four that ...

23 declared for the Coventry Stakes -Gr 2 (6 fur) and of that number 17 are winners. One entry by JUSTIFY has never run. I cant even begin to think which the winner might be.
