I just spoke to someone about the strength of the sales and was surprised to find out he had bid on a few in bk 2 (unsuccessfully). He believes that the online bidding will/has improved the sales. He tells me that for people who can't get there on the day, using agents is an uncomfortable experience (his words). He said that if you tell an agent you have £20k to spend, they will spend it. I never thought of that when we discussed on line bidding on a different thread but it makes a bit of sense. Also I noticed last night in Bk2 a few that were getting very low bids in house (2-10k) with good pedigree's were getting on line bidders. Now you may say that the reason they were getting low bids is because they looked poor but when the online bid was made they were coming back with bids in the ring. Maybe it just opening the market up and giving anyone a chance to bid on spec. Who knows? Reply
