Given that we are in the midst of a global financial crisis, and also with the uncertainty that a global pandemic brings to society , we surely have to take stock.
Racing has been cancelled in Brirain and Ireland, with no return date imminent, France are talking of being back in the middle of April, maybe but very doubtful.
The Easter racing is all but definitely gone, where do the breeze ups and Guineas stand, the point to poi ts are gone til the Autumn- so theres going to be a backlog of horses, everywhere.
The appetite for racehorses is without a doubt going to be seriously diminished, so the market for 3yos , yearlings and foals is going to be massively difficult, I would expect that the clearance rates will be low, not to mention averages and median.
Where do stallion fees fit in all of this?
