I've been watching the Racing at Leopardstown over the four day 26-29 Decemebr on TV and I thought the quality of racing and the masses of crowd attendence as good as I can ever remember. On the 26 there was also racing at Limerick and Down Royal also with big crowds. Some people complain about Gigginstowen having runners in all the big races (often two and three runners in each race) but that is not a compaint I would make - I would encourage it. Many of their horses are with different trainers and all fighting to win. I think they won something like 18 races over the four days! They are super supporters of Irish trainers and long may they continue their support and success. I think Irish National Hunt racing is so far superior to what we see happenning in UK where the crowds and quality of runners is falling off quite dramatically. What do others think - am I being too critical? Reply
