Looking through the results of the Two Day Sales Part 1 - I am somewhat surprised and disturbed by many results. I wasn't at the sale so I cannot comment on the individuals but let me make an example. There were 5 yearlings catalogued by the stallion TEOFILO.. One was withdrawn, one is tomorrow Part 11 so that left three through the ring. Now let me clarify, TEOFILO stood in Ireland in 2016 at a fee advertised at €50k. The three yearlings by him that were sold made as fillows: #252-colt-€5k, #401-filly-27k and #471-colt-€10. Now the last one #471 is out of a mare that won 3 Gr 2 races, a Gr 3 race and a Listed race. She was also placed in a Gr 1 and earned £476,483. She has bred a Listed placed too. So her nomination cost €50k and her yearling colt makes 10k. Maybe you will tell me you saw him and he looked awful - if so, why was he accepted in the sale? Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest! Reply
