There are two 2yo races at Newmarket tomorrow and I thought I might just comment on the breeding (which I know little about). What strikes me is the 'class/high nomination cost" of the entries. No cheapies I think!
Superlative Stakes Gr 2 - 7furlongs/7 runners by:
INVINCIBLE SPIRIT (x2) DUBAWI, GALILEO, NO NAY NEVER, CHARM SPIRIT and CLODOVIL.
Then there is a 2yo fillies only 7 furlongs/12 runners:
LOUP DE VEGA (x2), SHAMARDAL, KODIAC, AUSTRALIA, WAR COMMAND, DARK ANGEL, SCAT DADDY, KINGMAN, PIVOTAL, OLYMPIC GLORY and GALILEO.
I'm not really into breeding knowledge but are there any cheapies amongst that lot? Are breeders wasting their money even trying to compete in this business when using low priced sires?
