Just how long does it take to be able to state that a sire is a good broodmare sire? I was trying to make a point at the sales yesterday, suggesting that such and such a sire was not a particularly strong broodmare sire. But he has only been at stud for about 10 or 11 years is that long enough to make the call. I genuinely am not sure. I think there were more compelling reasons for suggesting he was not a great broodmare sire but what would be fair. There would be no argument that he is a very good sire of runners. Reply
