I need some help! I have been looking at pedigrees for many years, trying to find the factors that make a stallion likely to be successful. I have just realized that I have been doing it wrong. What I should be doing is looking at the pedigrees of absolutely abysmal stallions and seeing if there is anything common about their pedigrees that might indicate in advance what makes a stallion likely to be useless.
What I need is a cohort of stallions that are/were truly hopeless. Now if they were exceptional runners all the better. So what I need is a list 10 or 20 of the very best (highest rated) runners who turned out to be rubbish sires.
Can anyone suggest some candidates I would prefer them to be within the last 20/25 years or so.
