Prohibitive odds are sure to accompany outstanding Scat Daddy 3YO filly Lady Aureila when she lines up in tonight's Gr1 Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York, reports bloodhorse.com. With an enviable record of five wins from her first six starts, where only September's Gr1 Cheveley Park Stakes has denied her, Lady Aurelia already has a brace of Gr1 wins with the Darley Prix Morny at Deauville and Royal Ascot's Kings' Stand Stakes in her locker. Her main danger in the Nunthorpe looms as Dark Angel gelding Battash, out to make it four on the trot and in peak form after saluting easily in the Gr2 Qatar King George Stakes at Goodwood. Lady Aurelia is from a Gr2-winning Forest Wildcat mare, features a double cross of Storm Cat and is owned by powerful triumvirate including Stonestreet Stables. The icing on the cake for Lady Aurelia, should she win the Nunthorpe, is a fees-paid entry into the lucrative Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint at Del Mar in early November. Reply
