Unbeaten US 3YO Mastery will stand at Claiborne Farm in Kentucky at the end of his racing career, reports Blood Horse. Trained by Bob Baffert, Mastery, who is currently sidelined with a condylar fracture in his left front, has won all four of his starts to date including the Gr1 Los Alamitos Futurity. By leading sire Candy Ride out of the winning Old Trieste mare Steady Course, Mastery is a half-brother to stakes winner Clear Sailing. His third dam is a full sister to champion stallion Miswaki. Baffert said Mastery is “back at the barn and looking good.” He added: "He'll stay there for at least a month. We'll just wait. It takes like 90 days for that to heal up, and then we'll decide (if he'll race again).” Claiborne Farm’s Bernie Sams said: “Clearly, his pedigree and race record make him an exciting stallion prospect. He's in good hands and has a bright future no matter what.” Reply
