I thought it was a joke when I first read it but no it is true. The two-year buiding work get's underway at The Curragh shortly and they have decided to hold as much racing as possible throughout the Flat year - although there will be no stands! What a farce. They have now announced the crowd will be limited to 6000. In my opinion they should have switched the Derby to Leopardstown. I think this is very damaging for Irish Racing.
