We all know that greatness can skip a generation and whereas breeding out of a Group 1 or 2 winner will be beyond most breeders then perhaps we should concentrate on daughters of Gr 1 or 2 winners. Mares that sell well are so often 'no form' half-sisters to Gr 1 or 2 winners, but logically, being just a half-sis could be removed from the brilliance in the half-sibling? Is that logic or am I talking nonsence? Give me the progeny of an unraced/non winning daughter of a Gr 1 or 2 winner any day because - for me - that is the genuine line of brilliance. Reply
