Proconsul, a 4YO full-brother to the world's highest-ever rated racehorse Frankel, will stand at Mickley Stud at Shropshire in the UK at an introductory fee of £3,500, reports Racing Post. "We're delighted to be standing Proconsul at Mickley Stud and we look forward to welcoming breeders to see him," said Mickley Stud owner Richard Kent. "He's a fine-looking colt and obviously his pedigree speaks for itself." Trained by Andre Fabre on behalf of Juddmonte Farms, Proconsul (Galileo) failed to make an impact on the track in his only two starts. He is the fifth son of the grand producer Kind (Danehill) to stand at stud, the others being unbeaten world champion Frankel, three-time Gr1 winner Noble Mission, Gr3 winner and Gr1-placed Bullet Train, who shuttles to Bowness Stud in Australia, and Tally-Ho Stud resident Morpheus.
