The World's Best Racehorse, Arrogate, is among the 168 entries for the Gr1 Dubai World Cup to be run at Meydan racecourse on 25 March. Arrogate will be seeking to add the US$10 million Dubai World Cup, which is now officially the world's second richest horse race, to his win in the inaugural running of the US$12 million Pegasus World Cup last month. Other nominees include Dortmund, Hopperunity, and champion US filly Songbird. In total, the Dubai Racing Club received 1,549 nominations for 779 horses from 22 countries for the 2017 Dubai World Cup day.
