The world's highest rated horse, Arrogate (Unbridled's Song-Bubbler, by Distorted Humor), continued his preparation for the Pegasus World Cup with an easy 3 length win over workmate Uninvited in a 1200m gallop at Santa Anita Park on Sunday. The new star of US racing shot to the top of the World's Best Racehorse Rankings following his thrilling win over California Chrome in the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic in November. Arrogate and California Chrome are likely to clash again in the inaugural running of the US$12 million Gr1 Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park on 28 January. "I was happy with the work," Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert told Blood Horse. "We still have to see how he comes out of it and everything, but it was nice to get the work in." Baffert did not indicate when Arrogate might ship to Gulfstream Park for the Pegasus, but said the colt needed to be in top form to be a definite runner. "He's gotta be 100% all the way through," Baffert said. Reply
