I was reading an interesting article on 2016 First Crop Foals for sale at Goffs this coming week. What really interested me was the percentage of Registered foals when compared to the number of mares covered. In Ireland and UK there is a fixed Registratioon fee for foals registered before 1-August in year of birth. Fron 1-August the fee doubles as far as I know . Anyway, what really raised my eyebrows was the number of mares covered that did not produce a registered foal to date. Have a look at these figures:

So there you have it - your thoughts please! note - there is no number of reg foals for RULER OF THE WORLD but then his owners - the real Rulers of the Bloodstock World - just do what they want anyway.
