Claiborne Farm has announced that high profile sire Ware Front (Danzig-Starry Dreamer, by Rubiano) will have his service fee increased to US$250,000 in 2017, reports Blood Horse. The son of Danzig stood for US$200,000 in 2016. "War Front's progeny continue to dominate worldwide at the highest levels, both on the racetrack and in the sale rings," said Claiborne Farm representative Bernie Sams. "From a breeder's perspective, he offers the chance to hit the jackpot. Whether it's a grade I winner at Ascot, a Breeders' Cup champion, or a seven-figure sale topper here in the States, anything is possible." At the recent Keeneland September yearling sale, War Front had 19 yearlings sell for an average of US$633,947 with two of his progeny selling for more than US$1 million and 14 for US$500,000 or more.
