Trainer Ciaron Maher has provided an update on the progress of Black Caviar's unraced half-sister Brigite (Casino Prince-Helsinge, by Desert Sun) who had a quiet jump-out at Caulfield yesterday. Maher said the boom 3YO filly was close to making her eagerly anticipated debut but was yet to decide when that would be. "We learnt a little bit more about her this morning," Maher told Melbourne's Radio Sport National. "The track was quite rain affected and she didn't like it at all, so Luke [Nolen] just held her together. She's still coming along but is definitely going the right way. She has shown nice ability." Maher added: "We've been very patient with her and I think this time around we will be able to give her a run and see what's under the hood." Despite being entrusted with the education of a sibling to one of Australia's greatest ever racehorses, Maher said he wasn't feeling any pressure. "Not really, no," he said. "You treat them all the same. Obviously there is a bit of hype around her but it doesn't make any difference to the routine. You just do your best." By Casino Prince out of the grand producer Helsinge, Brigite is also a full-sister to Vinery's high profile 4-time Gr1-winning stallion All Too Hard. Reply
