Cranbourne trainer Dean Howard has been disqualified for 18 months after selling a horse without the consent of its owners, reports Racing.com. Howard appeared in front of the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board yesterday and pleaded guilty to a charge of 'dishonest, corrupt, fraudulent, improper or dishonourable action or practice in connection to racing'. The horse in question is the talented I Am Invincible colt Convincible, who finished third behind Rommel in the Gr3 Zeditave Stakes in February. Howard sold the 4YO to Hong Kong without the permission of all the owners and then lied about the final sale price in order to benefit financially from the transaction. His disqualification commences at midnight on Friday, 21 August. (this should also be a criminal case). Reply
