This years Irish Derby Saturday, 29-June is starting to look interesting. I say interesting because if we go by the statement of Aidan O'Brien that RULER OF THE WORLD could be his only runner then the race is immediately "opened up" for serious UK/French etc participation. For the first time in ages the place money is worth running for! Yesterday Jim Bolger's L.R. 10fur winner TRADING LEATHER (a 2yo Gr 3 winner) will go for the Derby. We already have Epsom second LIBERTARIAN heading our way. With nineteen days to go I hope other leading horses in Europe take up the challenge - fillies too.
