Hong Kong and Singapore are in the Northern Hemisphere yet they appear to me to buy their young stock - mostly yearlings - from NZ or Australia. Why are Northern Hemisphere countries buying yearlings from Southern Hemisphere countries? Where is the logic? Have we in the Northern Hemisphere 'missed out' in the promotion of two-year-old racing in the Far East? Can we do anything about it?
