The facts
Most importantly she won!
The quality of the race was NOT great!
Her time (furlong average) was slower than Frankel’s 8 furlongs and more importantly slower than the winner of the handicap immediately following over the very same distance/course/going. And she was carrying less weight.
She had the most favourable draw.
Analysis:
She probably didn’t give her true running!
She probably didn’t have the best preparation. It would have been better to bring her over a bit earlier.
It is unlikely that she would have won from a low draw or if Society Rock had not given the field a 6 length start by missing the break.
The connections are aware that she had a hard race and will not go for the July Cup which is an even stiffer 6 furlongs than Ascot.
