The BHA have amended the whip rules again "Bans for a first offence for one hit over limit are now two days from five, while two hits over the limit is five days rather than seven.
Suspensions for a second offence of one strike over the limit fell sharply to four days from ten.
The changes will be implemented for the start of the three-day Open meeting at Cheltenham on Friday. Whip bans imposed since October 21 will be reappraised under the new penalty structure which means Tony McCoy's five-day ban is reduced to two days. "
