Champion Sydney trainer Chris Waller was active on day three of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale yesterday when purchasing talented 3YO Richard Of Yorke (Oasis Dream-Cascata, by Montjeu) for 120,000 guineas. Trained by Luca Cumani, the son of Oasis Dream has shown good potential to date winning two of his five starts, the latest being a 2400m victory at Ascot on 4 September. Richard Of Yorke descends from the same family as ill-fated champion UK galloper St Nicholas Abbey. The Coolmore-owned son of Montjeu won 9 of his 21 lifetime starts, including six at Gr1 level. His elite victories were in the Breeders' Cup Turf, Racing Post Trophy, Dubai Sheema Classic, & the Coronation Cup, which he won three times becoming the only horse in history to achieve the feat.
